Broadcast Operations Center
When The National Press Club (NPC) located in Washington, DC. needed a company to design, engineer and integrate their broadcast operations center for their members and outside clients they chose Professional Products, Inc. (PPI). The NPC is a private association of members that include all active and former journalists, government information officers, and to those considered by journalists to be regular news sources. |
| The Professional Products’ system includes a full service broadcast television studio with multiple partitions, allowing multiple productions to be staged and/or produced simultaneously. In addition, the system contains an editing operation, a video transport and distribution system with a multi-media design and production center. The National Press Club system allows them to utilize the television studio to transmit live press events, satellite tours via fiber to the outside broadcast or Internet world; to record from either a single or multiple switched camera programs from the studios or NPC scheduled events in the main ballroom or conference rooms on the 13th floor. They also have the ability to edit material shot outside of the facility, and make videotape duplications in a multitude of formats such as Betacam SP, DVCam, DVC Pro, VHS and DVD.
